Allison Buchanan reviews Texas star Pat Green's show at the Tennessee Theatre
The sound of the crowd finally dies down as the sandy haired man takes his place on stage. He stares somberly out at the crowd with a look of steady concentration. Slowly his head turns to rest his eyes on a young brown eyed girl in the midst of the crowd smiling up at him from ear to ear. The man grins, sticking his tongue out at her and wagging “moose ear” hands from side to side in a taunting way. The crowd erupts in laughter. He may be a three time Grammy nominee, notable Texas legend, and well on his way to making a name for himself on the Country Billboards, but at heart Pat Green is still just a kid. Perhaps that explains the loyal following of college age and young adult fans. His laid back music appeals to a diverse range of fun loving people just lookin’ to have a good time.
